What up? I am doing pretty good. I am now seeking a web host so I can create a presence for my little wannabe company, RP3 Computer services. As I suspected, I am well on my way to having, if not an outright contract, a relationship with a housing and relocation company here in Nagoya. I have met the owner a few times through the Chamber of Commerce, and as I suspected, the thought of sending their customers to the only other company offering my services in Nagoya is repulsive for them…as they are competitors in the housing market, and bitter ones at that. Bonus time is, my relationship is with the bigger of the two companies-over 3000 placements last year and hopefully growing (that is actually only one section of a larger company that really dominates the foreign business presence here in Nagoya.)
I am hoping to start accepting clients beginning in March of this year, but I don’t know if I am going to be ready or not. I started thinking about this on one level, a fairly low one, but I have quickly come to realize that if it is done right, it could be big. I am trying to focus my energies on studying Japanese, so I am wondering how this is all going to work out. I am still not sure what sort of materials I will need. I know I need a smaller laptop, so I can carry it to clients, but will I need to start stocking software? If I do, I better do it in advance, as English software can be hard to come by. What else, what else, what else? First things first; I have to arrange for web hosting, print up business cards, and then put out my advertisements. Yippeeeee!
